I’m working full time as an IT consultant for WM-data at their Telecom division. The company will later on be known as LogicaCMG. Im now in a introduction phase where I get to learn the toolds of the trade. In a few weeks I’ll start with a project here in Stockholm working with Telia, but now as an consultant of WM-data. It’s really exciting times!

latte

June 24, 2007 at 6:56 pm (Coffee)

A few days ago I realized that I have to learn how to make myself a latte! It hit me while drinking bad coffee at home. Instant coffee or even home brewed coffee just dont tickle at all compared to a tall latte with some kind of decorative motive on top. So I did my research and found out that theres a few options when it comes to making your own latte. First of all, a latte consists of about 25% espresso and 75% milk. Espresso is made from forcing hot water through extremely fine grinded beans. The water should be forced with a high pressure unlike normally brewed coffee where the water gently drips through a filter filled with coffee.
Anyway, my options are a Espresso machine or a moka brewer. Moka looks as espresso but has a different texture and aroma. A moka brewer is 10 times less the cost compared to a somewhat good espresso machine. The machine is however the real deal according to taste, but the moka brewer is apparently allowed to use if you are a beginner. So Im thinking of getting my hands on a good moka brewer and then maybe in the future invest in a proper espresso machine. Tomorrow I’m going to a work meeting and will stop by a shop that has specialized in coffee products.

Some day I want to learn how to make a latte like these below.
